Tropical Storm 13 - A Modern Romeo And Juliet Love Story

Janie and Juliet met up again at about 6pm when Janie arrived at Juliet's house. Juliet's mother had seen Janie arriving, and went to the door, calling for Juliet as she went.

Juliet's mother was a little over weight now, but still elegant and attractive in her mid-forties. She had supervised all the food preparation in their kitchen, and was now dressed smartly ready for the party.

"Janie," Juliet's mother greeted. "You look lovely."

Mary was going to the door too and soon appeared behind her mother.

"Wow, Janie. So sexy!" Mary told her, appreciatively, admiring Janie's new short black dress. "Who would ever think you were just 15?"

"Hey," Janie protested, with mock indignation. "16 more like."

"Don't wish your years away, Janie," Juliet's mother told her, just as Juliet came down from the bedroom.

Three heads turned towards her, and Janie walked quickly towards Juliet to meet at the bottom of the stairs. Juliet, too, was wearing a short black dress, a pre-arranged combination. It was a decision they had made the day they had agreed to provide an outfit for Luke for the party. He would provide the brightness and colour; they the black contrast.

"Let's both wear black," Janie had enthused. "Dressed to kill."

Juliet had liked the idea, and it would not be the first time they had gone out as dress partners. So now there they were, both looking stunning in black for their 16th birthday party.
